Si ya has leìdo este libro (o en su defecto, viste la pelìcula) seguramente tambièn tuviste la sensaciòn de haber deseado tener en tu vida escolar a un maestro con la dedicaciòn y la vocaciòn del señor Browne, cualidades que casi puedes palpar mientras avanzas en la lectura.
Pues bien, este libro es una recopilaciòn de los preceptos màs importantes de este simpàtico profesor. En èl, te platica còmo fue que surgiò ese interès de “coleccionar” preceptos cuando el asistìa a la universidad y de las dudas que lo invadìan si la docencia era lo que realmente le harìa feliz, tambièn habla de còmo fue que empezò a trabajar con ellos en el salòn de clases y el impacto que estos tienen en sus alumnos a quienes les explica que los preceptos son “palabras que seguir en la vida” , en la que invita a los chicos a reflexionar y debatir sobre estas famosas citas, creando una atmòsfera càlida, amena y llena de aprendizaje en su clase, en la que sus alumnos se llevan conocimiento màs allà del que viene plasmado en los libros y que viene señalado en los planes de estudio.
Una de las cosas màs geniales de este libro, es que tambièn es una invitaciòn a que tu inicies tus dìas con algunos de estos preceptos, a que hagas tuyas las palabras, que incluso, alguno de ellos, podrìa ser capaz de darle sentido a tu vida en un momento difìcil, ya que, como el mismo señor Browne dice “la inspiraciòn puede venir de cualquier lugar”.
Estos preceptos son una colecciòn que se ha extraìdo de los libros que ha leìdo, o de los grandes personajes que los han pronunciado, como Oscar Wilde, Wayne Dyer, Hellen Keller, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Miguel de Cervantes, Charles Dickens, Vìctor Hugo y proverbios importantes de distintas partes del mundo. Muchos otros son una recopilaciòn de sus alumnos, quienes cada verano le envìan una postal con preceptos que ellos mismos han creado y lo que han aprendido de ellos, en los que hablan de la bondad, la perseverancia, la capacidad de seguir adelante, la empatìa, la amistad,entre otros temas en los que los niños profundizan y aprenden.
