Estaba viendo la primera página del blog y de inmediato pensé que faltaba algo romántico y meloso por aquí 👀 así que hoy les quiero platicar de una de mis lecturas de este mes.
En “Escritores y amantes” conoceremos a Casey, una chica de 31 años que en pocas palabras se siente perdida en la vida: acaba de perder a su mamá por su inesperada y casi inexplicable muerte, le rompió el corazón un sujeto del que se enamoró y resulta que le mintió y está hasta el cuello de deudas que, con su trabajo y sueldo de mesera, no tiene manera de liquidar pronto.
Una de las pocas cosas que le ayudan y le hacen sentir acompañada, es la novela que está intentando terminar desde hace seis años. Y aunque hay quienes dudan de su potencial e incluso se burlan de sus intentos, ella sabe que si deja de escribir, todo empeora mucho más.
Para rematar esta inestabilidad, se enamora de dos hombres muy distintos entre sí: un escritor consagrado, viudo, mayor que ella con dos adorables hijos y deseos de una relación estable, pero con el otro se siente más identificada, y está más joven, aunque no parece capaz de ofrecerle la estabilidad que ella cree que necesita. Casey no tiene deseos de que nadie salga lastimado (pues ambos parecen de verdad interesados en ella) pero le cuesta tomar una decisión pues ambos tienen características que ella aprecia en una persona.
He leído muchas historias sobre el amor a la lectura y el consuelo y acompañamiento que ésta ofrece. Pero no recuerdo haber leído un libro que hiciera lo mismo con el tema de la escritura. Y me pareció muy hermoso. Además de que describe la tristeza y su percepción física, cognitiva y emocional de forma poética y muy precisa.
Además, me gustó cómo aborda este tema de la escritura en una etapa de la vida que es tan difícil y delicada como el duelo, pero ilustra muy bien cómo, a la vez, el dolor, la tristeza y demás emociones turbulentas nos hace más sensibles y capaces de ofrecer resultados hermosos que son el resultado de la necesidad de expresar emociones intensas y complejas de manejar.
Yo siempre he pensado que escribo mejor de lo que hablo. Cuando escribo me siento diferente, más yo. Me envuelve una sensación de sosiego y bienestar. No sé cómo definirlo. Así que me sentí identificada con Casey porque aunque no escribo libros, la acción de escribir a mi me parece liberadora y confortadora. Es como una forma de explorarme, conocerme y encontrarme.
Me parece hermoso cómo nuestros talentos o las actividades que nos hacen felices, también pueden llegar a tener el poder curativo de ayudarnos a sanar ♥ a salir del abismo, y hacernos sentir un poco menos solos. Por eso es tan importante encontrarlos, identificarlos y no olvidarnos de ellos. Porque muchas veces es lo que nos queda cuando lo demás no está, se esfuma, muere o desaparece.
Así que lee “Escritores y amantes” y descubre con quién decidió quedarse Casey y todo lo que aprendió en su camino… Quizá también a ti puedan ayudarte en algo sus reflexiones. No sé. Ya sabes, en los libros cualquier cosa puede pasar 📚
