Yo no soy tanto de ver películas como de leer libros (claro está), pero, cuando estoy decidida a ver una, suelo inclinarme por la temática de terror, así que las películas de los Warren, aunque han despertado mucha polémica a través de los medios y el tiempo, son de las que más me gusta ver y no me pierdo ninguna. ¿Te gustan a ti?

Así que no es raro que éste libro haya despertado mi atención, que escriben en colaboración con un periodista que imagino es quien les ayudó a documentar y dar forma y estructura a la historia.

En este libro, presentan algunos de sus casos más representativos, además de enfocarse mucho en las apariciones constantes de un sitio que está cerca de su casa en Connecticut: El cementerio Unión, del que comienzan compartiendo la historia del lugar y cómo muchas personas, en distintos tiempos han observado la misma aparición: una dama blanca en cuyo alrededor brincan pequeñas figuras que parecen fantasmas y da la impresión de que están discutiendo con ella, aunque no se distingue ninguna palabra de lo que dicen. Incluso cuentan la leyenda de esta enigmática mujer que, ellos aseguran, captaron después de muchos intentos en uno de sus videos.  

Me gustó que contestan en este libro preguntas frecuentes que les hacen en sus presentaciones como por ejemplo ¿Por qué brillan los fantasmas? ¿Qué son las luces parecidas a pequeños globos blancos captadas en cientos de fotografías alrededor del mundo? Además explican que algunas de sus prácticas no son tan misteriosas ni tenebrosas como en los medios o en las películas quieren hacer creer, como el tomar contenido audiovisual en los cementerios, ya que, según ellos, es casi como fotografiar cualquier otra cosa y hasta lo hacen de día.

También explican acerca de una de las actividades que practican con más frecuencia, que es la búsqueda de imágenes en las lápidas. Ellos sostienen que los patrones creados por el líquen y el paso del tiempo hacen que a veces adopten la forma de rostros, como si fueran manchas de tinta. Pero las imágenes de las lápidas se transforman rápidamente y nunca dejan de cambiar, así que tienes que estar ahí, en el momento adecuado.

El objetivo de los Warren con sus investigaciones era descubrir los misterios que esconden los cementerios, que, como sostienen ellos, poseen más vida de lo que podemos imaginar.

Pienso que independientemente de la controversia que estos libros despiertan, siempre es interesante conocer otra perspectiva de temas a los que es difícil darles una explicación, como si ampliaras tu panorama, sin importar si coincides con ellos o no, ya que tú te formas tu propia opinión y sacas tus propias conclusiones J

Éste libro te parecerá genial si te atrae lo sobrenatural y quieres conocer y entender más al respecto de la mano de personas que dedicaron su vida a esto. Además es súper entretenido porque las historias están narradas de forma tan amena como una novela.
