El día de mañana, 12 de noviembre, se celebra el día Nacional del libro en México, fecha elegida en honor al natalicio de la Décima Musa Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz. Sí, definitivamente se lo merece.
Así que, por este motivo, quiero compartir la reseña del libro que me parece perfecto para la ocasión, uno de los que más me han emocionado y han alimentado aún más (antes pensaba que esto no era posible) mi amor y mi curiosidad por los libros. Puedo decir sin reservas que es uno de mis fav ♥ Se trata de “La sangre de los libros”, de Santiago Posteguillo, un autor al que probablemente conozcas más por sus novelas históricas romanas, tema del que es especialista.
“La sangre de los libros” es el segundo título de esta trilogía de enigmas y libros de la literatura universal. El primero es “La noche en que Frankenstein leyó el Quijote” (del que ya tenemos reseña en el blog, deberías de asomarte y leerla 🙂 ) y el tercero es “El séptimo círculo del infierno”, del que publicaré una reseña muy pronto.
Esta apasionada lectura es un viaje en el tiempo, en el que el autor nos comparte las increíbles historias detrás de los grandes clásicos de la literatura universal y de sus misteriosos, y, en algunos casos, desconocidos autores, con las que conocí los contextos y las situaciones que no me imaginé que estos tuvieron que atravesar. Por ejemplo, para inspirarse en escribir sus historias, como la razón por la que Víctor Hugo escribió desesperadamente Notre Dame, o de cómo La Divina Comedia casi se quedó sin publicar y fue rescatada gracias a un sueño (literal) de uno de los hijos de Dante, o de porqué los ingleses insistían en rechazar los escritos de Fernando Pessoa, aunque su talento era indiscutible, la especulación de que Agatha Christie fue asesinada, qué pasó para que Séneca fuera condenado a muerte tres veces por tres emperadores diferentes, el sufrimiento agónico de Charlotte Bronte escondido detrás de Jane Eyre, el secreto celosamente guardado por muchos años (y muchos prejuicios) en torno a la muerte de Isaac Asimov… Un montón de historias que te dejarán con ganas de más.
Además este libro está escrito de una manera interesante, en la que empieza la historia sin mencionarte de qué escritor está hablando, así que mientras avanza el relato tú estás intentando adivinar de quién se trata con las pistas que Posteguillo te va dejando en el camino mientras ardes de curiosidad por saber de quién se trata. En algunos acerté y en otros no, pero la mayoría me sorprendieron mucho.
Considero que es el libro perfecto para lectores principiantes o experimentados. ¿Por qué? Para los principiantes es útil para empezar a orientarles y ponerles en contexto de algunos de los libros clásicos más relevantes, despertando su curiosidad porque Posteguillo es un maestro para contar historias así que te deja picado y no puedes dejar de leerlo hasta que terminas. Para los lectores más exigentes también me parece una gran opción porque te proporciona información que te ayuda a entender mejor los libros y autores que ya conoces, enriqueciendo la experiencia de la lectura y te hace querer darle la oportunidad a otros autores de clásicos que has dejado en la lista de espera (Posteguillo me dio el empujoncito que necesitaba para animarme a leer a Drácula, los poemas de Dickinson, entre otros).
Es un libro que me hizo pensar en el lugar tan importante que tienen los libros en la vida de los lectores constantes como yo, y que detrás de esas historias que han sido inmortalizadas a través del tiempo y de quienes los leen, hubo personas comunes que también intentaron darle sentido a su vida o a lo que estaban atravesado en ese momento mediante los libros, mediante la creación de una historia, con la que miles de lectores se identificarían también después a lo largo de los años y las generaciones. Así, de este modo, su canto resonante hará eco para siempre, acompañando a más personas como tú y como yo ♥
Sí, ya sé que mi emoción casi fue palpable y tangible a lo largo de esta reseña, pero en mi defensa no lo puedo evitar 🙂 Porque en este espacio solo importa dejarse llevar por la pasión de la lectura.
